Like what you see?

Pop Up CardHello fellow crafters, I hope you’ve been making the most of the sunshine here in the UK today, although it got a bit rainy later on this afternoon – which made it perfect weather for crafting.

This last week I was busy making my version of a Pop Up / Card in a Box card.

Mother’s Day Card in a Box

This one is for my mum on Mother’s Day, luckily she’s not online so I can share this without spoiling the surprise – but Dad if you’re reading this don’t show Mum! The great thing about this card is that it folds flat(ish) so you can fit it into a standard envelope, but beware the postal system’s thickness check as it will be thicker than normal where all the flowers lie so you might have to pay Large postage. No matter the cost though, what a lovely card to send and hopefully a lovely card to get!

There are all kinds of tutorials online, I have done instructions, but you don’t get the real feel of how to put it together until you try it – the placement of the flowers or images you choose to Pop Up make each one unique. I will be posting to my Gallery tomorrow all of the ones my customer and her friends made at their Private Party this week and you’ll see they are all different – which I think is great. So, it fits in a standard envelope and is made with just one sheet of A4 cardstock and a small amount of Designer Series Paper, plus Whisper White for stamping which makes it a really big WOW with a not so big cost!

This one used the following products:

  • Flower Shop stampset and Pansy Punch

  • Petite Petals stampset and Petal Punch

  • Label Love stampset and Artisan Punch

  • Smoky Slate, Summer Starfruit, Pool Party and Crisp Cantaloupe ink / cardstock

  • Whisper White cardstock for stamping

  • Sale-a-bration Designer Series Paper Sweet Sorbet

  • Basic Jewels – Rhinestones Paper Trimmer and Scoreboard.

  • I’ll be back next week with another project to show you and I’ll continue to post to my Gallery over the next few days so you can see what we get up to at Class tomorrow! Enjoy and take care, Pip
