Like what you see?

Wreath ImageHappy Saturday evening to you all, here I am (on time this week) with my update from today’s fabulous Special Event – Bloomin Marvellous! Today I have had a great day with my customers with lots of flowers and lots of wreath making going on. This time the girls had a choice of either making the Burlap and Blooms Wreath, a set of Cards and matching Case or both!

There was of course tea and cake to keep them going with all their labours, and the results were lovely. I wanted to have a theme for this Special Event and because of the Wreath blooms came to mind, so I designed all my cards using the flower stampsets that can be found in either the annual or seasonal catalogues.

Serene SilhouetteI CASE’d a couple from some amazing Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world and I’d just like to say a thank you to all the demonstrators that allow us to use their art to help spread the creativity. This one was cased from Jayne Singleton at www.StampnPunch.com and it’s my husbands favourite of the day. I changed it up to use White Organsa, but the original looked lovely with Pool Party seam binding instead.

Petite PetalsThis one was CASE’d from Create with Ronda’s Facebook group, but I didn’t pull down the name of the demonstrator, but I believe she was in the Netherlands. It’s beautiful I think and went so very well with my theme. I changed up the colours to be more me! I love pinks and purples.

The Petite Petals bundle has been sooo popular with everyone, and I’m not surprised a stampset and punch for just £18.95 in clear mount – it would be rude not to order it at that price!

Best wishesThis one was part of a SUDSOL challenge, it was again created by a demonstrator in the US but it was a while ago and I’ve lost her name, but it just caught my eye in it’s simplicity and yet boldness; plus it used one of my favourite stampsets Blooming with Kindness.

Mixed BunchSo where are my designs, well there are so many great ones out there to choose from, sometimes I prefer others to my own – however I designed this one a while ago in Elegant Eggplant and decided it could do with a Raspberry Ripple makeover – don’t get me wrong, it looked great in Eggplant, but I love the stitched satin ribbon and it won’t be with us much longer so wanted to use it while it was still out there, because once you’ve used it you fall in love with it.

I wanted to give my ladies an idea that I’ve found to be a good one – decorate a Wood Mount Case from Card CaseStampin’ Up! and keep all your handmade cards in them ready for use. You can use the thinner Clear Mount cases too which I used for my recent Hostess Gifts – it makes a lovely gift set. I also wanted to tie in the cards to the outside design, so I used the cut out from the middle of the Petite Petals card and the ribbon from the Mixed Bunch card – inside they are held in place with some wonderful Ruffle Trim ribbon (the elasticated one in the new In Colours) and it matches beautifully – even if I say so myself! You get 4 large cases for just £6.25 and you can fit a lot more than 4 cards in them if you want to I think that’s a bargain too!

If you liked what you’ve seen today and it’s fired your imagination then my job is done, if you’d like to join my lovely customers and have fun crafting with us then just click on classes up in the menu bar and view all the dates that are coming up. I’d love to see you join us.

Until next week, happy crafting, Pip xx
