Welcome folks, I’m back to chat about the Card and a Cuppa session I ran just this past week at The Tea Shop Around The Corner in North Camp, Hampshire. It’s a great tea shop, excellent service with amazing food (not just cakes!) and the owner very kindly offered I run a taster session for some customers. I was delighted to have the opportunity to share a bit of crafting with some friends and new stampers on Tuesday morning. Just £5 for a Card & A Cuppa was deemed to be a great idea – and I’m pleased to announce I’ll be back next month!
I gave people a choice of 2 cards and they could pick their favourite. This one features the Wild About Flowers stamp set.
This one features the Grateful Bunch stamp set – would you believe I didn’t like this set when I got it? It’s now been used many times and I’m still coming up with ideas! This was the most popular card of the Card and a Cuppa morning and I can see why – this design was by Ronda Wade and I loved it so much, I couldn’t wait to recreate it.
The measurements for this card are:
- A4 Watermelon Wonder cardstock cut in half at 14.9 cm and folded in half to create your card base
- 14.4 x 10 cm Basic Grey cardstock for the mat
- 13.9 x 9.5 cm Whisper White cardstock for the top layer
- Stamp the leaves & butterfly in Basic Grey
- Stamp the flowers in Watermelon Wonder on some spare card & punch out with the Blossom Bunch Punch
- Stamp the sentiment in Watermelon Wonder
- Add the flowers to the card with dimensionals, finish with a Vintage Faceted Button & white bakers twine on the largest flower and Rhinestones on the others
Both of the featured stamps are available as they will be carrying over to the new Annual Catalogue in June, but there are many things on the retirement list that are leaving us this month – click HERE or the image to see them and shop.
I hope you’re enjoying the spring, flower cards and I’ll continue to share some more in the weeks to come. I hope you’ll look forward to my Card and a Cuppa session next month – more details to follow. If you’re local I’d love to have you join me!
Until next Sunday (where we will delve into some of the Crafty Retreat fun), have a great week, happy stamping, hugs, Pip x
