2 More Christmas Card Ideas

2 more Christmas Card IdeasThis set has some brilliant tree images in it, so I decided to pair the pine tree image with Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green and Delightful Dijon to give a gold tone to the cards.  The snow and tree trunk are stamped in Soft Suede. A bit of Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder work and there you go! This card uses the very trendy cut wording technique, which means you don’t have to stamp straight, wonky is good and you can make virtually any sentence you want using any sentiment stamps you have!

I did the basic version above and then a stepped up version, this time using some more card stock and the 5/8″ (1.6 cm) Mini Striped Ribbon in Delightful Dijon to give it a more luxury feel!

I just went for plain old Happy Christmas as a great basic sentiment, this time stamping it straight onto a piece of Very Vanilla and added some Linen Thread and Gold Metallic Thread for some background interest.

2 more Christmas Card IdeasThe principles of both cards are the same, but I think they have a different look and feel about them, you could incorporate the trendy word cutting technique into the more stepped up version too – it’s entirely up to you! I think you’ll agree though, that tree certainly looks Christmasy!
