Hello, today I’m sharing one of my all time favourite new stamp sets. I’ve featured it in my Top 5 of the new catalogue and I’m pleased to say I’ve finally been able to ink up and create a Floral Statements Thank You card. WOW it’s a gorgeous set to use!

It gives you so many uses and options. You can emboss with it, watercolour it, resist emboss or colour with water colour pencils or use your blender pens! All of them ensure you get a great result.  You have 2 bold stamps, one saying Hello and the other saying Thank You. What great sentiments paired with beautiful flowers for maximum effect. I have a few new teamies this month because they couldn’t resist the fabulous joining offer Christmas In July. The Hello stamp is going to come in very handy!

Floral Statements Thank You card

In this card I’ve simply heat embossed the image using White embossing powder with Versamark Ink. Use a Crumb Cake background so you can use your White and Rich Razzleberry Watercolour Pencils for the flowers. I used the Old Olive pencil to colour the leaves making the whole thing pop off the Crumb Cake. Simple to make and inspired by the image in the catalogue (page 163). The ribbon is the new Fresh Fig Sheer Ribbon, but it also works well here to pick up the deeper Rich Razzleberry tones from the roses. You can also add some Whisper White with your pencil around the border of the crumb cake top layer to show it up a little more.
