Sneak Peek Spring Summer 2018
My projects today are based on a card in the special Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator magazine we get each quarter. I decided I loved the project so much, I had to make it. Then I decided I wanted to step it up a little and add some new colours and layers. It’s the same, but different!
Here’s the original card in Soft Sky, Night of Navy, Emerald Envy and Whisper White.
Here’s my updated version in Powder Pink, Berry Burst, Emerald Envy and Very Vanilla.
What do you think? Do you prefer the blues or the pinks? Personally, I can’t decide! I love the them both and how they make me feel. The stamp set used is called Petal Palette and you’re going to want to look out for it when the catalogue goes live on 3rd January. For those coming to my Spring Retreat, you can relax, this bundle is in your goody bag!! I can’t wait to show it off some more then.

Love the cards, Pip! I may have to case them for my monthly thank you cards. 🙂
Aww thanks Michelle!
I LOVE THEM
Thank you!!
Simply gorgeous cards and I think if I had to choose I would go in the blue camp, though I’d be happy with either and so glad I have one!! 😉
Thank you hun!!
Really lovely Pip, I love the subtle background stamping with the words & so please I have one 🙂
Love the Berry Burst ribbon so this I think is my fav, although both fab.
Wishing you a very Happy New Year and lots of crafting fun in 2018!
Thank you Emma. I love the crinkled ribbon too!!
Gorgeous cards Pip. I love how you’ve repeatedly stamped the sentiment on the base card as a background. A beautiful, yet subtle touch that’s so effective. For me … The blues. Happy New Year to you Pip. May 2018 bring you all the happiness you deserve xx
Ah thank you Mikaela! I just loved the blue card in Stampin’ Success, so I had to reproduce it. You’re right that subtle stamping does make huge difference. Something for me to remember in future designs! Wishing you all the best for 2018 too – we’re going to Rock this 🙂 hugs, Pip xx
I’m loving the blues best! It’s always so interesting to see different colour ways – love what you’ve done here, Pip. x
Thanks Caro – I’m doing this a lot more lately, changing up the colours to see how it looks – it’s a good thing to do I think!
Having these cards in person, I can honestly say I find it difficult to choose, they are both so pretty! If forced to choose, I might lean towards the blue… but it’s a hard choice xx
Hahaha thank you Eimear – I was really pleased with how they turned out – have to hand it to Stampin’ Up! they’ve done it again with this set!
