Confused By Jargon? Getting Clear on Stampin’ Up!

Like what you see?

Are you confused by jargon? Do I sometimes talk about stuff and you have no idea what I’m going on about? I realise that I too can fall into that trap. You want clear and easy to understand info and I want to give it to you. So here are some phrases or words I will use, and a description of what they mean. Now you’ll understand what I’m chatting about more of the time. Which has to be good, doesn’t it?

Confused By Jargon? I have the answers!

Stampin’ Up!

A US family owned business that manufactures all it’s own stamps, ink and papers. They also design and get made for them, coordinating accessories (embellishments & ribbon) plus punches, dies & embossing folders. You cannot purchase Stampin’ Up! products from anyone other than a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator (like me) because Stampin’ Up! wants you to have the best shopping experience and after care. As your demonstrator I can help you with how to use the product and give you helpful tips & advice you don’t get from a normal retail shop. They’ve been Inspiring, Creating and Sharing their products and passion for 30 years now, so they’re a brand name you can trust. I wouldn’t sell anything else!

Demonstrator (me!)

Someone who has purchased the Starter Kit and is now entitled to sell or buy product at a discounted price. Some demonstrators (I call them happy shoppers) just buy for themselves & enjoy the discount, others like me use Stampin’ Up! as a way to earn a living. I’m your demonstrator if you shop with me or come to class! I am a crafter, just like you. I loved the products so much, I wanted to join and benefit from the discount. Now I love my job sharing what I love every day! I also lead a team of demonstrators who’ve also purchased the Starter Kit. You can join in too!

Starter Kit

10 Things I Adore About Stampin' Up!Purchasing the Starter Kit or Joining is really, really simple. It is a no catch agreement to buy £130 worth of product for just £99. During Sale-a-bration you can add another TWO stamp sets extra FREE. You agree to abide by some rules while you’re a demo (nothing unethical or demanding). In return you get 20% minimum discount for at least 3 months; longer if you remain Active. You remain Active by buying / selling £277 (before discount is applied) of products within the next full quarter.  Join this quarter and have until the end of next quarter to make those sales. There are no catches, no buyout requirements, no forcing you to do hard selling or anything like that. Shop or sell a minimum amount & stay active and enjoy the benefits – of which 20% is just the start! Click here to purchase your kit today.

Sale-a-bration

A 3 month long sales period (ends 31st March) where you get additional free stuff. When you shop, you can get limited edition, production quality stamps, thinlits, papers, ribbon, embossing folders – whatever they launch that year. The products cannot be purchased, you can only earn them with a £45 or £90 spend (depends on how big the free item is in value). You also get extra benefits when you Host a workshop & have sales over £200, or when you join my team (see Demonstrator above!) Everyone who shops with me gets a hand made card as a thank you, sometimes I add in an extra surprise too! You can click here to shop with me now.

Host Rewards & Monthly Host Code

All orders over £150 receive 10% minimum Host Rewards as a credit to spend there & then on products. So if you have a big order (Join or don’t use my Host Code). As a demonstrator I can gather online orders into one Host Code order every month and then if all of the orders = £150 I split the Host Rewards & send out goodies to everyone who ordered as well as my hand made card. So it’s worth adding it every time you put in an order. This can only be applied to Online orders. I think Host Codes are the one thing that makes people confused by jargon the most, so I hope I’ve explained it well enough! If you want to read more – click here.

I hope that this has helped you be less confused by jargon. If you’ve enjoyed this explanation and it’s been useful, please COMMENT HERE and let me know. Next month I’ll do more about the Products too.  I hope the pretty pictures have made it easier to read all of it! Thanks for being here and I look forward to seeing you again soon – either via my online store, or as a new teamie!
