Today I’m sharing the creative fun you can have with the Lilypad Lake bundle from Stampin’ Up! and me. I made 2 cards using the same pretty Designer Series paper (the pattern at the back). It looks like waves to me or maybe moving reed beds. It definitely has movement in there, and something the heron wants to find!

Lilypad Lake Bundle

First up a silhouette card, but not in Black! I chose to use Tranquil Tide for something a little different. It’s still a monochrome effect, but just less harsh.

Queen Pip Tip

Take a piece of Tranquil Tide card stock and peel off one side of backing from a Multipurpose Adhesive Glue sheet. Run through the Big Shot (card stock side facing up with the die on top). When you peel off the die cut shape, the back is sticky! Made putting those fronds on the front so much easier and way less messy!!!

Secondly, I switched it around a bit and made the heron stand out by stamping him (I think it’s a him – don’t you?) in Tranquil Tide ink on Whisper White. Use the framelits to cut him out as well as the grassy fronds.

Some simple layering and you’re done. The hardest part was deciding where to place the 2 sentiments! I faffed around a bit before coming up with this placement. What do you think? Inside it says Congratulations.
