White Christmas Card Idea
Well, I don’t know about you, but the idea of a true white Christmas is such a beautiful one. I love the snow, but only if we were snuggled up inside and didn’t have to go out! Does that match with you? I doubt we will have a white Christmas this year, but I had a White Christmas card idea so we could have it on the mantle piece and give us some snowiness! I love this sentiment and I thought it would stand out beautifully, but somehow it didn’t!
The beautiful grey granite wood design from Festive Farmhouse designer series paper makes a great background I think to the flurry of snowflakes and the flurries, but the sentiment was a little lost! So I decided to add some pink to the mix. I know it’s not white, but it really helps to make the white POP. You can really see it better especially when the light catches it and it glistens because it’s done with Heat Embossing! I added the Petal Pink ink with a dauber so it had a light touch. Don’t to wipe your project off with a paper towel so you bring the White back up again on the embossed bits.
What do you think? With pink or without? Either way I think the snowflakes and swirls show up beautifully, along with a few stars from Festive Farmhouse Elements that have been frosted with the Frost White Shimmer Paint! I hope you like my take on White Christmas.
