Today we are Flying Away With Beauty Abounds in my Pop Up Butterfly card. I saw the dies and straight away I wanted to make a pop up card. But I had a specific card in mind, it had to look like a book and open like the pop up books I had when I was a child. Do you remember those books? I know they have new ones today. The Paddington Bear 2 film is based around a pop up book and I think that’s what inspired my brain to come up with this one.

Flying Away With Beauty Abounds

This was our WOW project we made at Saturday’s class. You’re always welcome to join us, we’re a fun bunch! There were 7 of us all flying away with Beauty Abounds making our pop up cards! A lot of laughs and some frustration, but mainly it went really well! This is the front of the card. It’s a large A5 size to allow for the large dies inside.

The gorgeous stamps and dies in this bundle from Stampin’ Up! are so easy to work with. You get some duplicate dies so you can cut multiple butterflies at a time. A great time saving idea. The layering of the 2 main butterfly group die needs just a few touches of our Multipurpose glue or Fine Tip Glue Pen to get right. Start from the centre of the big butterfly and work outwards.
