Above the Clouds In Pastels – Soft and Pretty

Like what you see?

Today I’m sharing Above the Clouds in pastels, a card made for our recent team Shoe Box Swap. What is a Shoe Box Swap? Everyone brings all the things to make their card and we all make each others, consequently we end up with lots of different ideas and cards to use. It is a great way of getting more inspiration plus having a group crafting session too.  So, I decided to get my Above The Clouds stamps out, because I knew not a lot of people would have it. Therefore, they got something new to play with! We had a blast and we are holding out next one in September. So, if you’d like to come along, just join the Royal Stampers today. Get lots of goodies and you’ll also get to craft with the group too.

Above the Clouds in pastels is today's card. Soft blues, pinks and greens give a really sutble feel both in the embossed card base and colour scheme. Pip Todman www.queenpipcards.com Stampin' Up! Independent Demonstrator UK Above the Clouds In Pastels

I love how the Subtle Embossing folder works, it’s so hard to show you on screen, but I think I’m managed it in the photo below! It is so subtle, but so pretty. It adds just the right about of texture to a project, plus you can stamp after you emboss, which gives even more texture. That’s what you will do for this card. Embossing it and then stamp it in Balmy Blue with the cloud stamps. Did you know they can be stamped as they are and upside down to ensure there are no gaps in your cloud scape. How cool is that?

I used Mint Macaron ink on the Soft Seafoam to give it a little darker image.  Add some Mint Macaron matching ribbon, pop them up on Stampin’ Dimensionals and you’re done!
