A Beautiful Wedding Card

I’m not one for producing ornate cards. Simple is my middle name in card making it seems, but when I first saw the Perennial Essence Designer Series Papers I knew I had to try to do something special with them.

These gorgeous papers remind me of the great French Impressionist artist Claude Monet. I can’t help but imagine a him sat amongst the beautiful gardens, capturing their delicate colours in paint. Unfortunately I’m not very good at painting, so thank goodness Stampin’ Up! have designed these wonderful papers for me to use!

Special occasions deserve a special card, so I knew I wanted to use ‘Wonderful Moments’ lady as soon as I saw the papers. In this card I have stamped her on the coordinating vellum card stock, before fussy cutting and also highlighting using the blends. A frame was created using the stitched rectangular dies and scalloped lace created a cute little shawl.

The sentiment is from ‘Varied Vases’ and works well with many of the floral sets available. Who says you must use the sentiment provided in the set!

I love the idea of using the lace for the shawl, and with a spot of fussy cutting  just look what you can create. A beautiful wedding card for your daughter, neice or friend!
