In this month’s Maui Trip Achievers Blog Hop I’m featuring a pretty Flower Pot card using the Basket of Blooms stamp set. We are a group of Stampin’ Up! ® demonstrators who have earned the Maui Incentive Trip. We are proud to bring you monthly inspiration with our love of Stampin’ Up! products. My name is Pip Todman (Queen Pip) from Ash Vale on the Surrey / Hampshire border in the UK. It’s really easy to navigate our hop, you just use the links below to hop around all of us.

This is a stamp set that has been here & not been used, so I felt it was time to crack it open! I love that it coordinates with the Small Bloom punch so flowers are easy to make. Using Stampin’ Blends allows you to get a good 3D effect on the pot itself. I haven’t even been that smooth with my Blending. It still looks good though because pots do have those streaks in their overall shape. Consequently, it gives it a 3D feel!

All the Flower Pot Details

The background uses a beautiful frame straight from the Forever Gold Laser-cut Paper pack. I went a little overboard with both Linen Thread and Petal Pink ribbon, but I like the different straight and diagonal angles. It mirrors the stitched Nested Label die! It also has the effect of drawing your eyes to the central panel.

I love how easy it is to make this card. You can make it any colour you like, so you can easily match what your friends love! Don’t forget to also add some Wink of Stella to make the flowers sparkle too! If you’re thinking that far ahead this would also make a great Mothers Day card!
