Like what you see?

On the one hand, I love Tags in Bloom, but on the other I’m sad it’s only available until the end of March! It coordinates so well with the Label Me Fancy and Label Me Lovely punches and it has some great sentiments. Like this one!

The background for the sentiment is created with some of our fabulous Stampin’ Blends. The colours are just gorgeous, Seaside Spray, Balmy Blue, and Night of Navy. They make it very gentle, but you could make this much more vibrant, for example, you could use Mango Melody, Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight! That would be really zingy!

Despite the colours being subtle, the design pops off the page with some layered flowers cut by hand. Sprinkle a few pearls to make it extra pretty!

How To Make This Card

Instructions

  1. Base Card Elements

Make your card base as normal. A5 cut in half and folded in half.
Create a Whisper White cardstock base layer 12 x 9.5 cm.

  2. Creating the Flower Outline

Stamp your back image onto your base layer.
Then use the fill-in stamps to add colour to the flowers. Next, you need to stamp a separate flower, cut them out by hand and stamp the buds and leaves on your layer piece to give you room to add the flower afterwards.

  3. Create Your Topper

Use the Stampin’ Blends on a piece of Whisper White cardstock approx 9 x 9 cm to create a background (see video for the technique of blending).
Punch the coloured piece out using the Label Me Lovely punch.
Stamp the sentiment of your choice in Blueberry Bushel ink.

  4. Complete your Card

Layer up the topper and add the cut-out flower using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    Finish with Pearls!
