For my last post before the new catalogue I wanted to make it special. So here is your Special Reason Exploding Box Finale! It was one of the projects we made at Retreat. I’d not seen a box with pockets in the sides before, but saw my friend Julie’s and decided I would create one myself. It didn’t take long to work out the measurements & where to score the sides. The hardest bit was working out how to decorate it! Should the butterflies fly inwards, outwards or sideways?

When it’s closed, it looks like this.

So you can’t send this in the post! Your Special Reason Exploding Box will need to be hand delivered, but it’s a wow project so worth it!! Whomever you give this to will know you spent time and effort on making their card.  The little pockets mean you can put a message or gift card inside them. The central piece has Copper Foil under the cut out flower so you get a rich flash of copper as you open the box.

I’m so sad that this set is leaving us this month, it’s still available if you’d like to copy this yourself and make the Special Reason Exploding Box at home. I’ve listed the product items below that are still available.
