Like what you see?

Today in my video I’m sharing my Boys Graduation Card ideas using the upcoming Sailing Home stamps and coordinating dies! It’s always hard to come up with cards for men and boys, so this set is great, especially with a good set of coordinating papers. You do need a die cutting machine to match exactly what I’ve done, but you could change it up a bit with some punches and using your snips too!

Watch the video to see how I bring the elements together and the great sentiments you can use for men and boys cards. Graduations are happening all around at the moment, so this is a really topical card for many of you! I have a nephew that’s finishing his first year at college this summer and he loves rowing. I know these are not rowing boats, but I figure he might like this too! Although he’s not graduating as such, it’s his first year and I think that deserves celebrating too! Of course you don’t have to use this card for a boy, it would work for a girl who loves sailing too!

I think the trick to a good boys graduation card is to show your’re proud of them, knowing that they are about to set sail on a life ahead of them. You will, of course, always be there for them, because you’re a parent, aunty or sister. What you don’t want is what I call “fru-fru”! I’m not a bit fan of “fru-fru”, consequently you never see much of it on my blog, but I’m sure you know what I mean! In the video you can see how I’ve changed this up using different colours and papers from the pack.
