I know, I know “3D Silhouette Card Box Frame Thingy” isn’t really a slick blog title, but I don’t really know what to call this card. I decided I wanted to make a silhouette card that is free standing and added more depth. This isn’t a true concertina card which had multiple layers, this just has 3 folds, but it’s just a enough to give that depth of field to the image. The two cards in the photo were made for my WOW class a few weeks ago. Last week I showed you how to make the blended background and the silhouette with stamping. Now I’ve taken that background and created a new 3D Silhouette card box frame thingy!

I used this to make another card using the Bouquet and Lakeside dies, I hope you like it.

Not only is this a wow card, you can fold it flat for posting too. I think your friends would be chuffed to receive such a different card for a birthday, retirement or just to say hello! The best thing about these cards is that you have a lot of fun making them and they look so much harder than they are! Here’s a close up of the one made using the Sailing Home Suite.
