Deck The Halls

Deck the Halls always makes me think of dressing the tree and the rest of the house. Sadly we don’t have the room for a big Christmas tree, but instead, I use my camera arm over my desk! That way I can also join in the festivities a little. I wish we had a big staircase or a large mantlepiece we could swag with holly and ivy and baubles! However, on the plus side, we don’t have a lot to take down in January! That doesn’t mean that I don’t love hand stamped and hand made baubles though! So of course, this was the first thing that came to mind.

This project was made with Christmastime is Here suite and a paper mache bauble from my local craft shop. I painted the base bauble with Acrylic white paint to give me a base for stamping. Stamp the base with the sprigs and pine cones, then add the paper cut with the circle dies. Lastly, add bling!

Change It Up

I then decided to make a card with one of the other papers but using the same idea with the circle and the pine cones. Rather than the flowers as the central piece, use one of the sentiments. This shows you how you can find an image or idea you like and easily transfer it to a card design. I often see things out and about that inspire my card designs or layouts. Consequently, I take a lot of photographs of stuff which some people find a little odd, but I think all crafters can relate to it! I bet I’m not alone, I wonder if my blog hop team do it too!
