Pretty Cards and Paper Blog Hop

Whoo hoo, time to join this amazing group of international demonstrators for this month’s hop. This month’s theme features 6″ x 6″ Paper Packs! So I decided to choose the Brights family range! There are paper packs for each of the colour families and both sets of In Colors too, but Brights always have a special place in my heart!

Pretty Cards and Paper – Brights

So, for these cards, you need the Brights paper pack, plus a pack of Brights cardstock (these come in multipacks too!) I used the Hippo Happiness bundle but you could swap that for the Zany Zebras or anything else fun and bright!

The background also features vellum, because sometimes you just want to tone down a bit of that brightness! This gives you depth and an added texture to your cards.

Using two colours like Mango Melody and Gorgeous Grape together was a bit of a risk, but my word don’t they look good? Thankfully Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay were a sure thing, so at least if it had all gone terribly wrong I would have had one card to share! Lucky for me, I have two!!

Or maybe you disagree? COMMENT HERE and tell me if you think the combo of Gorgeous Grape and Mango Melody works or not!!

Can you tell I love the Hippo Happiness bundle? So many layering dies and so many fun things to stamp! It’s like a melting pot of loveliness, and to be honest on the first whiz through the catalogue I ignored it completely! Yikes!! Do you do that too?
