Like what you see?

I love creating cards with coloured images, and it’s fab to be able to colour directly onto pretty paper too! This is a new stamp set coming soon, so don’t expect to find it in your catalogue. Have patience! I got it at OnStage, saw this great technique and wanted to share! Colouring on pretty paper rocks!

Colouring Images On Pretty Paper

I shared how to do this on my recent Facebook Live, and you can watch it on replay below! Remember this is a Facebook Live, so it’s not as good quality as my prerecorded videos, but it’s fun!

I love that we have the names of all the seed pods! I didn’t of course, leave it at that, because colouring on paper is so much fun. So I made a few more! What do you think? Pretty in all those different colours, but also soft in the Pool Party and Soft Suede I used originally!

Measurements – Metric

  • Card base A5 Soft Suede folded in half
  • Pool Party 14.4 x 10 cm
  • Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper 13.9 x 9.5 cm

I used the Crumb Cake, Soft Suede and Pool Party Stampin’ Blends and then I added that touch of Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint. It really gives them that WOW factor, but it’s so easy to do! Simple cards is what I do!

This stampset is not one i would normally choose, but I love it and I find it’s easy to create with. After having nearly 4 weeks with minimal crafting, it was a joy to be back in my stamp room for half a day! The one above uses the In Good Taste papers. And this one uses Artistry Blooms paper.

As I said before, you can’t buy the stamps yet, but everything else is available. So why not try it out with another set of your choice?

Hopefully, you can see just how gorgeous the Champagne Mist shows up on these cards when the light catches it. Just beautiful! Adds a real touch of luxury so easily. I have added Rooted in Nature to the list as I think some of those stamps will work well. I’ve also added In The Pines and the Frost White Shimmer for a snowy look!

Thanks for reading & I hope you have a great play yourself.
