Pretty Cards and Paper Blog Hop

Whoo-hoo, time to join this amazing group of international demonstrators for this month’s hop. This month’s theme features any paper we want! So, I decided to share my fun birthday card with Hydrangea Hill papers that I made for a recent class.

The Hey Birthday Chick stamps are perfect for fun and quirky birthday cards. You wouldn’t normally associate purples with Chickens, but hey I’m Queen Pip and Pink and Purple are my colours!! So here you go! What do you think? COMMENT HERE and tell me which chicken is your favourite!

I’ve popped some of the instructions below, and I know you’ll want to have a go. But don’t forget to hop around the rest of the team & see what they chose to feature this month!

Fun Birthday Card – Hydrangea Hill

So, for this card, I used the partial die cutting technique. You can learn how to do that HERE in my By The Dock video. It’s a great technique when you want to have a background show behind your focal point, in this case, my chickens! The card is a standard A4 base and the layers are Pretty Peacock 14.4 x 10 cm, then Hydrangea Hill 13.9 x 9.5 cm.

The Hydrangea Hill papers were a perfect match for me! I wanted to pair the beautiful colours with the outgoing In Colours. Sadly, some of the colours will soon retire, so if you really love them buy them using the links below from my shop today.

Thankfully the Hydrangea Hill papers will be here until near the end of June! This is fabulous because you can make so many wonderful creations with it. Here is a sneaky peek of the other projects we made at my Hey Birthday Chick class. Fun birthday cards for all of your friends!
