Beauty of the Earth Papers

Why do you think I went for these? Well, because they are so easy to turn into fabulous cards AND they showcase the turning of the seasons. All of Nature’s Beauty on display for you to share. You can make a card in minutes with the papers and a punch. In this case, the Deer Punch. How cute is that stag? As my friend Deb says – it’s the Babysham Deer (you have to be of a certain age to remember them!)

Measurements & Step by Step Instructions

Pick Cherry Cobbler cardstock for your base. Cut your gorgeous paper to 13.9 x 9.5 and layer it onto a 14.4 x 10 cm piece of Soft Suede cardstock. Did you know you can get a range of coloured cardstock in our family packs, so you don’t have to buy them all at once!

Wrap the Early Espresso Faux Suede ribbon around the top half & glue that to your card base. I use Stampin’ Seal for easy gluing of ribbon to my cardstock. You can also use it for sticking the layers down, or if you want a bit of wiggle room, pick the Multipurpose Glue.

Next cut a rectangle (I use my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine with the Rectangle dies to cut out my shape. It’s a worthwhile investment in your hobby because the more you use it the more you get out of it!). If you don’t have one yet, you can also cut out a rectangle to fit your words. You want to use the Cherry Cobbler ink so it matches the cardstock perfectly (coordination is one of those things that makes your card look really well put together).

Finally use the Deer punch with Early Espresso cardstock for the cute deer.

That’s it – I tell you, this is a quick & easy card you can make in bulk if you want to. And there are so many papers in the pack you can use too! Though all the seasons of nature’s beauty! Because the words could work for a birthday too, I think, don’t you?
