Easy Tropical Easel Card Two Ways

3D Projects, card ideas, Fancy Fold Card Ideas, Step by Step | 6 comments

Today I kick off my new Fun / Fancy / WOW Folds series with an easy Tropical Easel card. Easels are probably the first cards you’ll have seen and gone – ooh that looks good, I wonder how I can make that?

My NEW VIDEO Tutorial will show you how you can make one of these at home today. The supplies are simply some cardstock and paper. You will need a Trimmer and something to put on top. I recommend the Tropical Oasis Memories & More card packs, but get them quick because they’re retiring soon!

If you want you can copy this image and send it to your card recipient so they now how to put the card up on their mantlepiece. I got this label from a US demonstrator years ago, but I forget who – so if it’s you THANK YOU!

Tropical Oasis Memories And More Stickers make excellent toppers and motifs for your scrapbooking and card making! For instance, here I use one on the stopper inside the card. It adds some great colour and coordination without adding layers!

Add the stickers as motifs to your card fronts! They also give perfect coordination with the papers!

Tell me which is YOUR favourite folding card and I will try to feature it soon on my blog! Comment HERE and let me know!

Thanks for joining me here today.

I used ChatGPT for the conversion from cm to inches.
Here is your centimeter to inch conversions, rounded to two decimal places (1 cm = 0.3937 in):

    Item Centimeters (cm) Inches (in)
    A4 base card 21 × 29.7 cm (standard A4) 8.27 × 11.69 in
Cut at 10.5 cm 4.13 in
Score at 14.9 cm 5.87 in
    Top easel layer 14.9 × 10 cm 5.87 × 3.94 in
    Top decorative layer 14.4 × 10 cm 5.67 × 3.94 in
    Inside layer 14.4 × 10 cm 5.67 × 3.94 in
Strip of cardstock 2.5 cm 0.98 in
Strip of paper 2 cm 0.79 in

    ✅ Summary:

    A4 = 8.27″ × 11.69″

    Cut at 4.13″

    Score at 5.87″

    Layers roughly 5.9″ × 3.9″

Small strips around 1″ and 0.8″ wide.

I have learned so much from your tutorials pip I made a lovely card with brayer background the first I’ve ever done I was so pleased with it.
It’s good knowing what goes with what water and alcohol so handy.
